You can go your own way. You can get married how you want, when you want, with or without a bridal party. You can do things traditionally or nontraditionally, or any blend in between. You can have a first look and also walk down the aisle together, making this decision to commitment in unison. You can do your wedding however you want. Just let me know what time to be there.
I’ve known these two since grade school. I moved and was the new kid at the beginning of 5th grade — I remember going to a “cool kids” basement party the winter of that year and David was there. I tried to show off my dance moves to impress everyone. Pretty sure I embarrassed myself. Now he, the host of that party, and several other kids from that class will be standing in his wedding decades later. And I get to photograph the thing.
David and Kimberly live in Chicago, where I’m from, but came out to visit for a weekend and have their engagement session done in the great PNW. I, with a newborn and unable to travel, found this pretty awesome.
Kimberly is the kindest soul you’ll meet and saved someone’s life over the phone recently as a 911 dispatcher. So not only is she beautiful but she’s calm in the face of tragedy and comes out a winner. David’s the same nice kid I remember from all those years ago. They are just adorable together.
Enjoy their beautiful faces.
On what could be the hottest day in history, Lora and Pat tied the knot in the suburbs of Chicago. Since moving to Seattle four years ago, I have slowly adapted to a more temperate climate, so the humidity totally took me off guard, even though it was the signature of all the summers of my life growing up. I won't ever stop loving warm summer nights, though. They have a sense of magic -- walking from the air-conditioned indoors to a warm blanket of night feels safe, honest and innocent. They had a perfect golden sunset that turned into one of those magic nights. I'm sharing just a few highlights here. 2019 weddings are booking up! If you're engaged, let's set up a time to chat!
