Vantage Love

It's getting to that point of winter in Seattle where we are just READY for SUN!  Luckily we have some coming next week, but I just couldn't wait!  I grabbed my friends, the Silvas, and we drove across the pass to Vantage, WA where the land buckles in round rolling hills and tumbleweeds roll.  Also, evidently, where the wind blows gale force!  It turned out to be totally worth it.  How stunning is Adrianna in this gown?!  This is definitely a location I want to come back to -- any takers?

Discovery Park Seattle Family Session

'Twas the night before Christmas (Eve), and this little family and I met up on an unbelievably sunny December day to capture some family photos.  With a 3 & 1.5-year-old you never quite know what will happen.  One of my favorite things about family sessions is that the kids are usually the creative directors!  Of course we pull together for a few nice family portraits, but it's fun to see what they come up with on their own.  Arya was busy looking for raccoons in the tall grasses for lots of the session which was adorable and hilarious.  Great family photos don't just need to happen in the summer and fall -- winter gives a unique light and beautiful glisten to nature.  To learn more or to book, head over here.  Enjoy the photos!

West Seattle Winter Family Session | Alki Beach

On a clear day, Alki Beach in West Seattle has the best views of the Seattle skyline that can be found.  You might recognize this setting from this dreamy maternity shoot from earlier this summer.  We were fortunate to have a brisk day with sun that showed off the view in all its splendor.  This sweet little family was so amazing to work with.  Though she's only six months old, it's plain to see that their little girl has become the world to her parents!  I smiled all afternoon behind my camera as they just simply enjoyed being together and playing by the waterfront.
