This Lake Washington home brings together warm, refined interiors with a strong connection to its setting. Designed by Ashley Fears and built by Tek-line, the home pairs traditional architectural elements with a more contemporary, relaxed approach to furnishings and materials.

At the center of the home, exposed timber beams and a substantial stone fireplace give the living spaces a sense of warmth and permanence. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of Lake Washington and bring an abundance of natural light into the interiors, creating a beautiful interplay between the architecture, furnishings, and landscape.

McKith styled and furnished the home with a mix of soft upholstery, organic textures, sculptural pieces, and warm wood tones. The furnishings feel collected and comfortable against the more substantial architectural elements, giving the home a sense of ease without losing its sophisticated character.

Custom cabinetry by Acadia Craft continues that balance throughout the home, adding warmth and craftsmanship while keeping the overall palette restrained. Throughout the interiors, thoughtful material choices and carefully considered details create spaces that feel elevated but genuinely livable.

As a Seattle interior photographer, I loved photographing the relationship between the home and its surroundings. The architecture has so much visual character, but the natural light and views of Lake Washington become part of the composition, changing the feeling of each space throughout the day.
