Some homes feel collected over time, with a mix of natural materials, vintage pieces, and thoughtful details that make them feel personal rather than overly designed.
This Issaquah home, a collaboration between Brooke Solinsky of Brooke Anne Studio and Jen Tamblin of Drift Interior Architecture, is a beautiful example.
The renovation reimagined an older, compartmentalized home into a warm, layered space designed around family life. Natural stone, white oak, unlacquered brass, and rich, earthy colors bring depth and character throughout, while thoughtful changes to the layout make the home feel more connected and functional.
I photographed the home to capture the details that make it special, from the material combinations in the kitchen to the quieter moments throughout the living spaces.
A Collaboration in Design
What makes this project particularly special is the collaboration behind it. Brooke brought a clear vision for the home, while Jen helped translate that vision into a thoughtful architectural plan. The result feels personal and timeless, balancing classic European influences with the character of the Pacific Northwest.
The renovation also marked the beginning of a new chapter for Brooke, inspiring her to pursue her own design business, Brooke Anne Studio.
The home was recently featured in Rue Magazine, sharing the story behind the renovation and the people who brought it to life.
Interior Photography in Seattle and Beyond
I love working with interior designers and architects who approach their projects with this level of intention. My approach to interiors photography focuses on natural light, thoughtful composition, and the materials and details that give each space its own character.
Based in Seattle, I photograph residential and hospitality projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
