Seattle & Chicago Interior Lifestyle Photographer | Airbnb & Vrbo

Tuning in with a super fresh, fun and modern Airbnb & VRBO in the heart of Seattle!

This multi-level townhouse in Eastlake offers big city views and the most incredible rooftop deck for sweeping sunsets looking over the mountains and water of Seattle. Planning your next trip to the Emerald City and on the lookout for the perfect Airbnb? We've got you covered with some friendly advice on what to keep in mind when choosing your cozy nest in this vibrant city.

  1. Location, Location, Location: Seattle is a city of neighborhoods, each with its unique charm. Consider what's on your must-see list and find an Airbnb that puts you in the heart of the action. Whether you're into the artsy vibes of Capitol Hill or the scenic beauty of Queen Anne, choose a location that suits your style.

  2. Modern Organic Touches: Seattle is known for its contemporary aesthetic and love for nature. Look for Airbnbs that seamlessly blend modern design with organic touches. Think big windows that let in plenty of natural light, indoor plants, and perhaps a cozy nook where you can enjoy a cup of locally brewed coffee.

  3. Amenities That Wow: Make your stay extra special by checking out the amenities. A fully equipped kitchen for those who love to cook, a comfy workspace for remote work, or a rooftop deck with city views can elevate your Seattle experience. Don't forget to see if they provide essentials like Wi-Fi, toiletries, and, of course, a cozy bed!

  4. Local Hosts with the Most: One of the best parts of Airbnb is connecting with local hosts who know all the hidden gems. Opt for a place where the hosts are not just property managers but also enthusiasts eager to share their love for Seattle. Their insider tips can turn your trip into an unforgettable adventure.

  5. Reviews Tell the Tale: Dive into the reviews! Past guests spill the beans on what made their stay exceptional or what could be improved. It's like getting advice from friends who've been there before. Pay attention to comments on cleanliness, communication, and any unique features that made their stay memorable.

  6. Flexibility Matters: Plans can change, and flexibility is key. Check the cancellation policy and house rules to ensure they align with your travel style. Some hosts offer self-check-in, giving you the freedom to arrive on your schedule.

  7. Budget-Friendly Options: Seattle offers a range of Airbnb options to suit every budget. Set a realistic budget for your stay, keeping in mind any additional fees, and explore the diverse array of accommodations available.

Remember, your Airbnb is not just a place to crash; it's part of your Seattle adventure. So, go ahead, find that perfect spot that feels like a home away from home, and get ready to soak in the best of what this incredible city has to offer! Happy travels!

Lifestyle Brand Photography in Seattle | Bamboo Abode

Creating a visually stunning brand is an art form, and capturing your product in a visually beautiful way is so impactful to the development and success of your brand identity. In commercial photoshoots, not only is the goal to attract new customers, but to hone in on the story that your brand tells so that it attracts raving fans vs just driving individual conversions. Planning your photoshoot is a collaborative process between us, and the more you’re able to bring to the table the better the result.

This recent shoot with Bamboo Abode is the poster child for what happens when a brand has done their homework and planning to create a beautiful shoot. There is enough structure for success while leaving some white space for improvisation and the unpredictable moments where light shines in in just a certain way.

  1. Inspiration and Theme: Start by gathering inspiration for your photoshoot. Consider the vibe you want to convey – is it rustic and cozy, modern and chic, or perhaps a blend of both? Choose a theme that aligns with your brand and the message you want to send.

  2. Location Scouting: Seattle is brimming with photogenic locations that can enhance the visual appeal of your charcuterie board. Make sure the location complements your chosen theme and provides ample natural light for those perfect shots.

  3. Product Design: Before the photoshoot, carefully curate your products to reflect your brand's aesthetic. Consider the color palette, textures, and arrangement of elements. When you’re going for a brand photoshoot, it’s less about featuring every single piece you offer and more about creating an intentional collection to tell the strongest story.

  4. Props and Styling: Enhance the visual storytelling of your brand by incorporating props and styling elements. In this shoot, we used elegant serving utensils, rustic cutting boards, fresh herbs, and decorative plates to add a touch of sophistication to the photos. Consider the overall color scheme and choose props that complement the theme and mood of your shoot. We brought the products to life with a lifestyle portion to the shoot models interacting with the product.

  5. Plan & Outline: Think about the final use of the images you’re creating. Where will they be used? What orientation will the need to be shot in to provide the crop ratio you’ll need? What are the most important themes you need to explore? Using all of this information, draft an outline. Even if the shoot strays a bit from this, it will ensure the most important elements are covered. I love leaving space for inspiration to strike and for improvisation. I’m happy to help in the production but am not a brand agency, so the more direction you come into the shoot process with the better the result.

Mercer Island Indoor/Outdoor Kitchen Renovation Stunner

This project is a stunning transformation of a Mercer Island kitchen, dining and outdoor kitchen space, also with a big upgrade for the primary bathroom. Designed by ID by Gwen and built by Bright Work Builders, this renovation offers a spacious kitchen that flows into the dining room and outdoor space with a bright and natural feeling. When I arrived on site, the homeowner had just finished a swim in Lake Washington. Over the course of the shoot I could sense the unity between the design of the space with the lifestyle of its inhabitants.

With plenty of counter space (a beautiful stone!) and a large pass-through window to the outdoor kitchen, this space begs for hosting gatherings and enjoying quality time in the beautiful Seattle climate. The covered outdoor kitchen nearly doubles the footprint of the initial space. Gary of BrightWork Builders explained how the entire roof line was extended to accommodate this new kitchen, though from a glance it appears to have been there from the start.

The kitchen has a mostly white design, with a beautiful blue island to break up the visuals. The glass pendant light fixtures act as the finishing touches and really bring the space to life. A vase of hydrangeas perfectly brought together the tones of the light fixtures and the island, with the slightly gray countertops.

An added bonus to this beautiful project, the primary bathroom got a beautiful upgrade. The blue theme carried through upstairs with a deep cobalt tile with a subtle pattern and all new cabinetry, soaking bathtub and large glass shower stall.

Enjoy this beautiful renovation!

A Desert Oasis in Vantage | Seattle Interior Photographer

Sometimes a little change of scenery is the key to refreshing your whole outlook. It’s easy to feel far away when you head east over the pass to Vantage, WA. Home to The Gorge, many wineries (including Cave B), and stunning desert scenery, you can take in desert sun and colors without traveling southwest.

This new vacation rental, The Wild Horse, is perched on the shore of the Columbia River with sweeping views in all directions from the rooftop deck. The sky is so open. It’s easy to forget you’re so close to Seattle with these vast landscapes.

The desert color palette is brought indoors throughout this bright short term rental home. With tall ceilings and abundant natural light, each room brings its own vibe of desert oasis (and its own attached bathroom!). The black accent walls in two of the rooms make for striking backdrops to the bright accent pillows and cow skull decor. Most unexpected is the family rec room with wall-to-wall window views of the surroundings. From this room, head upstairs to the rooftop sunset deck to take in the changing sky as the sun sinks over the mountain behind the house.

Traveling kids and adults alike will enjoy the party garage with ping pong and other games and a projector for movie nights next to the custom mural. There are musical posters all over the house with special nods to Tom Petty, Neil Young, and other musical pillars of rock.

Perhaps the coolest feature of the entire house is the custom crochet hat wall in the dining area. Made to be interacted with, you can pop out a chic hat for all your desert vibing, or just enjoy for a quick group selfie.
