Traveling to Green Bay, Wisconsin, for this lakefront renovation was an absolute dream. Partnering with Designs of the Interior (DOTI) and DeLeers Construction, we documented a massive, high-end overhaul over two full days of photography and video. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this was going to be a special project: the team’s energy, attention to detail, and styling expertise made every shot a joy to create.

This was a luxury property at its finest — sleek, modern finishes paired with warm, inviting textures, all taking full advantage of lake views and natural light. Working alongside the DOTI team, we tweaked each frame shot by shot, experimenting with angles, light, and composition to ensure the images truly captured the feeling of living in the space. Every corner of this renovation told a story, and my job was to make it sing through both photography and video.

Collaborating in person with the DOTI team was one of the highlights of the trip — we even went for dinner together, celebrating the space, the design, and the process. I genuinely appreciated how much thought and care they put into styling and presenting the home, and how open they were to collaboration. It’s rare to find clients who are both insanely talented and incredibly fun to work with, and I feel lucky to have documented this project with them.

As a Seattle-based interior photographer with Chicago roots, I love traveling for projects like this across the Midwest. Projects like this allow me to bring my natural-light, lifestyle-focused approach to homes that are both aspirational and deeply personal. Photography and video work hand-in-hand to capture architecture, interiors, and the lived-in feeling that makes a house a home.

When McKith Interiors and Herron Homes invited me to photograph this beautifully crafted Seattle residence, the creative direction was clear: highlight the modern architectural details, honor the classic design elements, and celebrate the warm, lived-in elegance that both teams brought to life. This home is a seamless blend of thoughtful construction and refined styling — the kind of environment where clean lines, layered textures, and timeless choices work together effortlessly.

From the moment I stepped inside, the abundant windows and long, uninterrupted sight lines created a natural openness that was a dream to capture. Herron Homes’ architectural execution made every angle feel intentional, offering dynamic pathways for light to travel and revealing new layers within the space. Each room held a perspective where materials, textures, and structure interacted in quietly dramatic ways — the kind of detail that makes Seattle interior photography so rewarding.

Styling and furnishing from McKith Interiors added another dimension of depth and narrative. The mix of cozy, tactile accents and elevated, sophisticated pieces expressed the dual personality of the home: warm and inviting, yet undeniably polished. It’s the kind of design that feels luxurious without feeling precious — a space meant to be lived in, lingered in, and appreciated from every viewpoint. Haley, the owner and creative director, has a knack for blending vintage and antique items with contemporary high-end pieces to create an intelligent, wise, and inviting atmosphere.

As a Seattle interior photographer, I always prioritize natural light, and this project was no exception. Photographing the home entirely in natural light brought out its true essence — the softness of fabrics, the authenticity of tones, and the way sunlight shifts across surfaces throughout the day. Natural light reveals honest texture and color, allowing the construction details from Herron Homes and the furnishing and styling choices from McKith Interiors to shine in a way that feels real and connected to how the home is actually experienced.

Newport Haven: A Modern Retreat by MacPherson Construction

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph Newport Haven, one of MacPherson Construction’s standout projects. Located on the Eastside of Seattle, this home is a stunning blend of modern elegance and functionality, embodying the essence of luxurious city living.

Newport Haven was designed with a focus on seamless indoor-outdoor living. The architectural elements, from expansive glass walls to the carefully curated material palette, create a harmonious connection between the home and its dynamic urban surroundings. Every detail, from the open-concept living spaces to the spa-like bathrooms, reflects a commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.

My goal for this project was to capture the feeling of this dramatic and sweeping space. Each image was composed to highlight the property’s unique features, such as its sleek modern kitchen, unique bathroom, incredible vaulted ceiling and bespoke light fixtures. The natural light pouring into the home played a starring role in the shoot, accentuating the clean lines and high-end finishes that define MacPherson Construction’s work.

What sets Newport Haven apart is its ability to balance luxury with a sense of home. Whether it’s the serene primary suite, the Batman-inspired office, or the entertainment-ready outdoor spaces, this property is designed to elevate everyday living while making a bold architectural statement. Every so often, I get the chance to collaborate on a project that aligns perfectly with my passion for storytelling through photography and design. When Asri Homes reached out to photograph their launch collection, I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. Their vision of blending sustainable, modern luxury with timeless design resonates deeply with my approach to capturing interiors and lifestyle moments.

Though I’m based in Seattle, my commercial photography projects take me far and wide to capture the essence of brands and individuals. The project took me to my hometown, Chicago, a city known for its iconic architecture and vibrant creative scene. The excitement of boarding the flight wasn’t just about heading to my favorite city—it was about working with a company where sustainability and innovation in design takes center stage. Asri Homes embodies this spirit, creating spaces that are both aspirational and inviting. Asri partners with artisans with family-owned workshops to create their pieces, which you truly have to see to believe (throwing no shade to my own photography work here!).

Their launch collection is a stunning representation of thoughtful design, where every detail—from the textures and materials to the flow of the spaces—is meticulously crafted by hand. These pieces are not just pretty objects to live with; they are pieces that inspire, connect, and elevate everyday living.

The photoshoot itself was so much fun. Each piece told its own story, and my goal was to translate that narrative into imagery. The shoot was very much lifestyle-oriented, focusing on how these pieces invite elevated everyday living. The Asri team was so fabulous and the shoot felt like being with old friends.

With Asri, I styled vignettes to emphasize the aspirational yet attainable quality of the collection. From cozy reading nooks bathed in natural light to open-concept spaces designed for gathering, every shot aimed to highlight the personality and functionality of the collection. The Asri team was incredible to work with, and their attention to detail comes through not only in their collection, but in the production of the shoot environment. We captured this collection at Subtle Haus, a beautiful co-working space and creative studio downtown. The floor-to-ceiling windows made for such beautiful natural light.
